Losing someone you love is always a very traumatic experience. It can seriously impact one's judgment, therefore, it is important to be realistic about funeral expenditures. We do not want your choices to be more than what is affordable to you, and we will do everything we can to help you keep the arrangements within your budget. When making the funeral arrangements, it is important to make an appointment with the funeral home so that they can be prepared to better assist you. We try to make it easier on families that live away by doing much of the paperwork by phone or email. It is a good idea to gather any documents that may assist in giving information for the death certificate, such as the social security number, place of birth, father and mother's full name including maiden name, etc... In addition, it is many times helpful to talk to other family members about their expectations, involvement and travel arrangements.
