Obituary for Bertha Woods (Murrell)

Bertha Mae Woods 89, of Hawkins, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Mineola, Texas. She was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1927 in Hawkins, Texas to the late Monroe Murrell and Lucy Jackson Murrell.
She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas.
Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, Will Woods; brother, George Murrell and three sisters, Nellie Fay Brown, Eldora Marry and Elberta Murrell.
Ms. Woods is survived by two sons, John Edward Jobe and James Murrell of Hawkins, Texas; daughter, Linda Sgrignoli of South Holland, IL; three brothers, Edward Murrell of Dallas, Texas, Clinton Murrell of Dallas, Texas and Madison James Murrell of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Helen Jones of Hawkins, Texas, Betty Gean Sterling of Dallas, Texas and Lu L. Murrell of Hawkins, Texas; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Beaty Funeral Home Mineola from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11 AM at New Zion Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas officiated by Rev. Edward Murrell Jr. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery in Hawkins, Texas.
