Obituary for Alexander Renko

Alexander  Renko
Alexander Renko, 87, of Mineola, TX passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Tyler, TX. He was born Saturday, March 30, 1929 in Radomisl, Ukraine to the late Ivan and Natalie Honczarenko.
After escaping the ravages of war-torn Germany after World War II, Alex immigrated to the United States with his wife and son in 1950 to begin a new life. With their meager belongings in two suitcases, Alex worked his trade as a sausage maker until he launched a sausage company in Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Mr. Renko then retired to his ranch in 1989 where he raised cattle for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances Renko; three sons, Alex Renko and wife Dana of Sulpur Springs, TX, Bob Renko and wife Jennifer of Stafford, VA., Mark Renko and wife Sandy of Licking, MO; one daughter, Helen Myers of Winnsboro, TX; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 am, Friday August, 19, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola TX. Graveside Service will follow visitation at 11:30 am, Friday August 19, 2016 at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mabank, TX, with brother Charles Etheridge officiating.
