Obituary for Mable Whatley Krantz Thompson

Mable Whatley Krantz Thompson
Mrs. Mable Whatley Krantz Thompson, age 92, of Winnsboro, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, November 28, 2016. Mable was born on May 1, 1924 in Pioneer, Louisiana to the late Enoch and Clara LaCroix Whatley. During World War II, Mable spent three years stuffing parachutes for the Army Air Corps in Abilene. She was retired from the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center, a member of Clearwater Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Audie Krantz, second husband, Jess Thompson; her only son, Rev. M.A. Krantz in 2013; four brothers, Wade, Maurice, Mason and Joe Whatley; four sisters, Velma Fleming, Lessie Crosby, Loread Rush, and Opal Kipe. She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Krantz Onley and husband Mark of Winnsboro, Billie Jo Krantz Mathison and husband Carl of Winnsboro; twin-sister, Melba Vinning of Monroe, LA.; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The visitation and funeral will be held at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro on Saturday, December 3, 2016 with visitation at 1:00PM, and the service beginning at 2:00PM, Dr. Bill Holmes and Bro. David Henry will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center, P.O. Box 484, Winnsboro, TX- 75494.
