Obituary for Terrence Moore Sr.

Terrence “Terry” O. Moore, Sr. died Friday the 17th of February due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident at the age of seventy-six. The elder son of Dr. Roscoe O. Moore, M.D. and Mary Helen Moore, Terry grew up in Mineola, Texas, where he graduated from Mineola High School. Graduating from East Texas State University, he also served in the Army in the late sixties and was stationed at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. For over forty years, he lived in Garland, where he worked for twenty years in the consumer finance industry and later as a private landscaper. He and his wife, Neva (Cobbs), also from Mineola, had two children, Terrence, Jr. and Cari Linnea. Terry was very active in the New World United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife and daughter. He is survived by his son, Terrence, daughter-in-law Jennifer Moore, and their four children: Samuel, Daniel, David, and Mary Helen.
Graveside service is scheduled for close friends and relatives at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, Texas officiated by Dr. Mark Neely.
