Obituary for John Turner

John Turner
Mr. John Alan Turner passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Tyler at the age of 23. He was born May 27, 1993 in Tyler to James Alton Turner and Jenica Hagy Turner. He was a student at The University of Texas at Tyler majoring in biology. He worked part time at Lowe's in Lindale and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Quitman. He graduated with honors from Quitman High School in 2011.
John loved the outdoors and was an accomplished bird watcher but his favorite pastime was fresh and saltwater fishing.
Survivors include his parents, James Turner of Mineola and Jenica Turner of Quitman; grandmother Billie Hagy of Prichett, Tx ; brothers, Bill Turner and his wife Kim of Haltom City, TX and Jimmy Turner and his wife Carla of Tyler; sisters, Deann Mozeleski and her husband Eric of Springboro, Ohio and Elizabeth Turner of Quitman.
He was particularly fond of his nieces and nephews, Cody Turner, Madelyn Mozeleski, Jackson Turner, Mia Turner, Grant Turner, Ella Mozeleski and Gabby Turner.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10 AM Monday at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Fund using the donation tab on this page.
