The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Billy Pendley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jeff Pendley
Condolence: Uncle Pinto, I will miss you. I can remember as a small kid the fun you brought to me. The times of riding in your pickup out on the country roads around Forreston telling ghost stories of the old truss bridges and different areas around there. You always kept us kids laughing and having fun. I can also remember all of the fishing trips and especially the one to Lake Tawakoni and the big one that I caught and got away, not knowing it was just an ole carp not worth keeping. I also loved it when you and Aunt Clarice would show up at Papa & Gramma's on Sundays with your slide shows of the different trips you had been on. You would always keep everyone up to date on our relatives in Seatle. One other great mememory, is of Christmas in 1961 where you had us running through and around Papa and Gramma Pendley's trying to see Santa. I am so sorry I did not live closer to you these last years so I could have visited with you more. I will surely miss you and Clarice.

Love, Jeff

Condolence From: Jeff & Beverly Pendley (as written by Bevery)
Condolence: We are all so sad about Uncle Pinto's passing. Some of Jeff's best childhood memories were of his many excursions with Pinto. Pinto was a bigger than life character who always made time for the kids, especially all his nieces and nephews and I think he enjoyed it as much as the kids! I think Jeff has told me all the stories and I even joined the family young enough to see some of these stories for myself at our many gatherings at Lake Navarro Mills for picnics, visiting, water skiing and the like. When Jeff and I stayed with Pinto and Clarice, we always felt very welcome and had a great time.
Some of our regrets are that we didn't live closer to Pinto and Clarice to be able to visit with them more. I am sure as adults we could have appreciated them more. I can't count how many times in the last couple of months Jeff has mentioned that he wanted to go see Pinto and ask him about the Pendley boys childhood and all the stories. We are very sad but find solace in the fact that he is no longer in pain and that he and Aunt Clarice have been reunited. So sad, Jeff & Beverly, Jeffery, Kimberly, Addie & Nolan Pendley, Paige, Kyle & Laken Lessor.

Condolence From: Russell Berrier II
Condolence: Some of my greatest memories are about Pinto and my beloved Uncle Truiet. They are of hunting, fishing and those campfire tall tales. I've shared many of those stories with my own boys around a similar campfire. He will truly be missed by our family and one of the dearest old friends of my dad.

We plan to be there to celebrate this wonderful man's life.

Prayers to his family and many friends.
