Allen Bell Cole

November 18, 1939 — November 2, 2024

Allen Bell Cole, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on November 18, 1939, in Wisner, Louisiana, Allen was the son of Clarence Cole and Maggie Sturdivant Cole. A graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe, he served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.


Allen enjoyed a long career in fertilizer sales, where he built lasting relationships and served his community with dedication. He was a faithful member of Pine Street Baptist Church, finding fellowship and faith within its congregation.


In his leisure time, Allen had a passion for fox hunting and raising fox hounds, pursuits he cherished throughout his life. His love for the outdoors and his dedication to his hounds were well-known among his family and friends.


Allen is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Carolyn May Cole of Winnsboro, Texas; his son, James Cole and wife, Haley; his cherished granddaughter, Everly Cole; brothers, John Cole of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Will Cole of Memphis, Tennessee; and sisters, Elizabeth Ann Watkins of Wisner, Louisiana, and Polly Haring of Fort Necessity, Louisiana.


Allen will be remembered for his strength, warmth, and enduring love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital Inc.
