David Lee Watkins

David "Bubba" Lee Watkins, of Winnsboro, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 8, 2024. He was born on June 19, 1950, in Winnsboro, Tx. and died at the age of 73. He spent almost his entire life in his hometown of Winnsboro. Bubba had a big personality and loved to visit with everyone, never meeting a stranger. He deeply loved his family, his truck and watching wrestling. Most importantly, Bubba had accepted Jesus as his Savior and was a member of Cartwright Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Willie and Betty Watkins of Winnsboro. He is survived by his son, David Watkins and wife Laura of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Kayla Orr and husband Garry of Winnsboro, Michaelya Watkins Lindley of Pittsburg, Jason Meadors, Jr. of Winnsboro, Jersie Pruitt of Hawkins, Ryland Watkins of Winnsboro; brothers, Billy Watkins of Quitman and Danny Watkins of Corinth; sister Vickie Forgy and husband Phil of Winnsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. The family also sends a big thank you to all the people that extended their kindness and friendship to Bubba over the years. His family thanks you for your care, concern and prayers during this time!
