Alana Lee Cooper

Alana Low Cooper, 67, of Troup, Texas died Jan. 3, 2015, with her family by her side.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola, Texas, with the Rev. Fred Morrow of Quitman officiating. She will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park in Mineola, Texas. She was born on Aug. 26, 1947 in Palestine, TX to Albert F. Jr. and Wilma Matheson Low.

Alana retired from Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas after more than 25 years of service as an accountant and administrative assistant. She was a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler. She was an active member of Lanes Chapel UMC in Tyler, Texas

Alana is survived by her loving daughter, Pam Newman and husband Kirk, and two grandchildren, Victoria and Joel, all of Troup, Texas; her sister, Carmen Howard and husband Johnny, of Monroe, Louisiana, along with several nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert F. Low Jr., her mother, Wilma Low, her sisters, Jan Youngsworth, and Phyllis Henderson.
