Aletha Wardlaw Beard

Aletha Wardlaw Beard, age 93, left this earth to be with her Lord on Monday, December 6th, 2010 in Tyler, Texas following a short illness. She was born on Wednesday, May 9th, 1917 in Paris, Texas to the late Sam and Nora Wardlaw. She was raised in Mineola, Texas from the age of two and was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Beard; a daughter, Sharon Beard Michaels; a son, Jerry Wayne Beard.

She is survived by two sons, David Beard and wife Pat of Mineola, Robert Beard and wife Janie of Ovilla, Texas; daughter-in-law, Margarita Beard of Cleburn, Texas; a son-in-law, Bill Michaels of Lewisville, Texas; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and many friends and family members.
