Aline Laverne Strickland

Aline Laverne Strickland, 87, of Golden, TX died on Monday, January 20, 2014. She was born on Thursday, April 29, 1926 to the late Andrew and Emmie Lankford.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Strickland; daughter, Rebecca Gay Strickland; two sisters, Dannie Lou Gillis and Adeline Bright; brother-in-law, Harold Gillis, and many beloved pets. She is survived by two daughters; Annie Laurie Strickland of Tyler,TX, Cynthia Pettijohn and husband Richard of Golden, TX; brother-in-law, Gene Bright of Mineola, TX; step son, Dennis Strickland and wife Linda of Garland, TX; step daughter, Dianne Strickland of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren; John Bailey and wife Erin, Stephen Pettijohn and wife Rebecca, Brian Pettijohn, Cooper Pettijohn, Duncan Strickland and wife Cindy, Hunter Strickland and wife Emily, Rena Rose and husband James, Dean Couch, and Jaylynn Couch; five great grandchildren, Keiko Pettijohn, Harmony Strickland, Levi Strickland, Kenley Strickland and Aaron Rose; and beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at Golden Cemetery on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM officiated by Ken Masat.
