Alma Joan Pierson

At the age of 83, Amy passed away at home on November 27, 2022 in Winnsboro, Texas after a long illness. She was born on June 11, 1939 to Emil and Ida Morhardt at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.

While a sophomore at Michigan State University she met and married Robert (Bob) Pierson, her husband of 63 years. After graduation, they have lived in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Mesquite and Bedford, Texas and retired to their lake home on Lake Winnsboro in 2003.

Amy is survived by her husband Robert, daughter Stephanie, son Robert E, daughter-in-law Angela, grandchildren Robert C, Kyle, Melissa, great grandchildren Karsen, Jack, Sawyer and cousins in Australia and Germany.

It is Amy’s wish that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to either St. Judes Children’s Hospital, or the Winnsboro Animal Shelter (or an animal shelter of your choice).

A Celebration-of-Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church in Winnsboro at a date in January.
