Aloma LaVon Timian

Aloma LaVon Timian, known affectionately as Vonnie, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on December 27, 1941, in Alva, Oklahoma, Vonnie was a devoted homemaker who embraced life with a passion that inspired all who knew her.

A long-time resident of Neosho, Missouri, she made her home in Mineola, Texas, in 2010, where she continued to cultivate her vibrant spirit. Vonnie's warmth and dedication were evident in her cherished role as a wife and mother. She married Vernon Timian on October 28, 1972, and together they built a life filled with love and camaraderie. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Ornie Clifford, and the many friends and family whose lives she touched.

Aloma was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Timian, parents Felix Summers and Juanita Summers and son, Randy Masters.

Vonnie's interests were as diverse as they were enriching. She found joy in fishing and was an accomplished target shooter-a testament to her keen focus and precision. Her love for the natural world translated into a profound appreciation for flowers, birds, and the Canadian geese she often nurtured in her yard. A strong and independent woman, Vonnie expertly managed the family farm while Vernon was away on the road as a truck driver, confidently maneuvering large tractors with ease.

A proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawkins, she will be celebrated for her unwavering patriotism and her dedication to her faith and community.

A memorial service to honor Aloma LaVon Timian will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on August 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who were touched by her life are invited to join in remembering and reflecting upon the remarkable legacy Vonnie leaves behind. In our sorrow, we will find comfort in the lasting memories and the indomitable spirit she shared with us all.
