Alvin V Blaylock

Rev. Alvin V. "Bill" Blaylock, age 81, of Mineola, Texas, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Mineola, Texas. Rev. Blaylock was a retired plumber and evangelist and member of New Hope Baptist Church. He Served in the Navy and Army during World War II. He married Pearlie Mae Willingham on January 2, 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was the son of the late Abner Blaylock and the late Neva (Williams) Blaylock and was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and by one infant daughter, Janice Elizabeth.

He is survived by his three daughters, Kathleen Shirley of Leadhill, Ark; Joanna Day and her husband Gary of Ceder Park, Texas; Lisa Reed and her husband Bobby of Mineola, Texas; one son, Allan Vern Blaylock and his wife Toni of Jackson, Tenn; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
