Amelia Grubbs

Amelia Grubbs, a beloved member of the Winnsboro community, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on December 10, 1936, in Mexico, Amelia brought her vibrant spirit and caring nature to all those she encountered. She was a cherished resident of Winnsboro, Texas, where she lived for many years.

Amelia dedicated her life to her family and community. She served as a First Aid Translator in the construction industry, bringing her expertise and warmth to her work. An active member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Amelia found joy in her faith and fellowship with others, and she devoted much of her time volunteering with The Blessing Box, supporting those in need within her community.

Amelia was an avid lover of flowers and gardening, finding solace and joy in nurturing the beautiful blooms that surrounded her. She treasured every moment spent with her family, particularly relishing the laughter and love shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mickey Grubbs; her son, Jimmy McCauley; her brother, Johnny Santana; her sister, Mercedes Rodriguez; her granddaughter, Mallory Darbone; and her three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Viviann, and Dean. Amelia was a beacon of love and strength, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.


Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Cruz Santana, and daughter, Micki Ann Brown.
