Sharron ‘Sophie’ Crowson 1942-2019 The heavenly ransom of Sophie Crowson, 77 of Quitman, Tx was paid on Friday, Sept.20 as she entered her eternal home. I’m sure there was some pushing and shoving of her loved ones already in heaven to get to the front of the line to greet her. She made it very easy to love her because her love for others was so contagious. Since 2004, she was the co-owner of Dragonfly Art Studio in Mineola where she could freely express her passion of creating stained glass art. She received so much joy from each and every relationship that was built within the walls of the studio. Sophie was an extraordinary Mom, a proud Nanny and a devoted friend to an endless list of loved ones. She loved God, first and foremost. She also loved helping strangers, laughing, sincere hugs, art, being gawdy, thrift shopping, dogs and frogs, late nights and slumber parties, M&M’s, cooking, Bruno Mars and love. She was an expert at seeing the good in people. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. I would like to personally thank the entire staff of Texas Oncology in Tyler for loving and caring for my Mom so well. Mere words can not express my appreciation for you. A Celebration of Life will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Sunday, September 29 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, she would ask that you be intentionally kind to a stranger on her behalf.
