Anna Bates

Mrs. Anna Ruth Keener Bates, age 46 of Quitman, passed away on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 in Mineola. She was born on February 1st, 1973 in Shreveport to the late Robert Keener and Linda Cosby Keener. Anna was a, caregiver, and faithful member of Mineola Church of Christ. She was a wonderful mother, loved her church and taking care of children especially her grand babies. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Keener. Survivors include her loving husband, Kevin Bates of Quitman; mother, Linda Hightower of Longview; grandmother, Ruth Orr of Mineola; sons, Jade Bates, Jordan Bates and his wife Molli and Jeremy Bates; daughters, Jenna Bates and Julianna Bates all of Quitman; brothers, Lee Keener of Alba and William Hightower and his wife Brandi of Seabrook; sisters, Patricia Matlock and her husband Alan of Nacogdoches and Mary Keener of Longview; two grandchildren, Emori Bates and Zander Bates who passed in Dallas on January 5th. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 10th, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home with Mr. Jeremy Harrell conducting. Interment will follow at Quitman City Cemetery, with Bryan Bates, Justin Willis, Cody Hazelwood, Trevor Keener, Zane Bates and Adam Burks serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mineola Church of Christ.
