Annie Fay Hood

July 5, 1950 — August 12, 2020

Fay Hood reached up to heaven and grabbed the hand of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 12, 2020. Mrs. Hood was born to the late Albert and Annie (Caffery) LeBrun on July 5, 1950 in Monroe, Louisiana. Fay was a 1969 graduate of Julian Union High School in Julian, California, and 6 weeks later married her classmate and love of her life Robert Hood. She was a Home Health Care Provider for the elderly, taught Sunday School for many years at a number of churches and was a Head Missionette Coordinator for several years with the Assemblies of God Church. Fay had called Texas home for the past 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Brian Douglas Hood. Fay is survived by her husband Robert Hood; son Robby Hood and wife Amanda; daughter, Tammy Smith; daughter Deanna McCoy and husband Leroy; foster son William Murray and wife Sheila; sister Pauline Singer and husband Mark; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 22nd beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Lighthouse Gospel Center Ministries, 22410 County Road 455, Mineola, Texas 75773. Burial will follow the service at Carmel Cemetery, 19069 County Road 481, Lindale, Texas 75771.
