Mrs. Annie Ruth Russell of Golden, Texas died February 23, 2008 at the age of 81. She was born October 17, 1926 to the late Ray and Viola (Carr) Hackler. She was a member of the First Church Of The Nazarene in Mineola. She was a member of the American Legion Post #296 in Mineola, the Amateur Radio Club, and the Texas RV Radio Club. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years. She was a founder of the Caring and Sharing in Golden and was a Red Cross volunteer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Jack J. Russell; sister, Bessie Mae Strasser and great grandson, Jonathan Reynolds. She is survived by, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia and Rhudean Musgrove of Quitman, Texas, Sharon McNabb of Golden, Texas and Becky and Dale Barnes of Golden, Texas; four brothers, Melvin Hackler of Vidor, Texas, Claude Hackler of Tyler, Texas, Alfred Hackler of Golden, Texas and David Hackler of Golden, Texas; sister, Dorothy O'Burke of Duncanville, Texas; five grandchildren, Debra Reynolds, Stephanie Musgrove, Susan Demet, Travis Barnes and Taylor Barnes; six great grandchildren, Bethany Reynolds, Ayden McClenny, Lillian McClenny, Justin Carter, David Hilton and Colton Bone; and one great great grandchild, Tristen Carter.
