Annie Connette Spence

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Annie Connette Spence, aged 80, of Gilmer, Texas, who departed this life on April 26, 2026. Born on July 14, 1945, in Winnsboro, Texas, Annie lived a full and vibrant life, one rich in love, creativity, and faith.

Annie was a devoted member of Coldwater Baptist Church, where she drew strength from her community and shared her unwavering faith. Her passion for crafting found expression in her remarkable skills in sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Annie's hands created beauty, and her heart overflowed with the love she infused into each project.

Annie leaves behind a cherished family who will carry forth her legacy. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Brill and husband, Rex; her son, Raymond (Bo) Peckham and wife, Leslie; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Allen-Rutledge; and her six beloved grandchildren: Chance (Deanna), Hayes (Devan), Amanda (David), Danny (Marisol), Dusty (Brian), and Joel. Additionally, she is survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Landon, Braylon, Laykn, Heidi, Stephanie, Shawna, Calista, Rayden, Vivienne, Emma, Hunter, and Lainey, who will forever remember her kind and nurturing spirit.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Spence; parents Connie Jordan, Willie Annie Russell Jordan,; and siblings, J.C. Jordan, Jimmy Jordan, Jerry Jordan, Leo Jordan, Ona Burns, Bonnie Vance, Clytee Wilburn.

A graveside service will be held in her honor at Piney Grove Cemetery on May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. We invite all who knew Annie to join us in celebrating her life and the indelible mark she made on all our hearts. Her memory will live on in the love she shared and the lives she touched.
