Mrs. Argeree Lavon Clay, age 96, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 in Winnsboro. Argeree was born in Wood County on December 10, 1916 to the late J.W. "Wes" and Lucy Taylor Stokes. She was retired from Wilsons Manufacturing, a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, and the Pleasant Grove Quilting Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murry W. Clay, two brothers, Alton Stokes, Preston Stokes; and a sister, Wanda McWhirter. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Cole and husband Roger of Winnsboro; a sister, June Black of Irving; three grandchildren, Ronny Yates and wife Karen, Aimee Smith and husband Jeremy, Josh Cole and wife Julie; nine great-grandchildren, Joni, Timber, Jacob, Rowdy, McKenzee, Kyd, Harlee, Avery, Levi; three great-great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Braxton, and Brilyn.
