Arnita Ruth Minty Fleet, age 76 of Pickton, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 at her home. Arnita was born in Sulphur Springs on August 13, 1937 to the late Walter and Billie Fisher Minty. She attended North Hopkins Schools and graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1955. She attended East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce and the University of Texas in Austin. She worked most of her career in the clothing industry for such companies as J.C. Penney as a buyer, and for Sunny South-Jo Hardin in the customer service department. She loved the fashion industry. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She married Buck Fleet on March 13, 1963 in Dallas, he survives. She is also survived by a son, Kenny Orr of Corinth, MS.,; daughter, Deena Mills of Pickton; sister, Charlene Stewart and husband Sam of Sulphur Springs; brother, Gary Minty of Commerce; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Arnita was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.
