Arthur Lee Skidmore

Arthur Skidmore, age 77 of Sulphur Springs, passed away surrounded by his devoted family on Thursday, April 1, 2021. He was born on February 9, 1944 in Emory, Texas to the late Lester Skidmore and Reba (Morrow) Skidmore. Arthur was also preceded in death by brother Charles Wayne Skidmore. Mr. Skidmore was a Dairy Farmer for over 50 years having started milking cows when he was 9 years old. Arthur was a longtime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pickton. He is survived by his son Lee Skidmore; daughter Dianna Holt and husband David; grandchildren K'Lee Grubbs, K'Lynn Skidmore, K'Lah Skidmore, K’Lara Skidmore, Trey Skidmore, Dustanna Spencer, Dax Holt and Daydee Holt; great-grandchildren Gus Spencer and Kasyn Grubbs; sisters Neva Hogue, Kay Kennedy and Phyllis Watkins. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 at Beaty Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Haun officiating. Interment will follow at New Pickton Cemetery in Pickton.
