Austin Davis, age 18, of Quitman, Texas, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Lindale, Texas. He had lived in Quitman for several years. He was a member of Lake Country Bible Church. He played eight instruments and had went to state in band. He had received a scholarship to attend Tyler Junior College.


He is survived by his father and step mother, Michael Davis and Mandy of Quitman, Texas and mother and step father Robin Michelle Wilkins and husband Bobby of Lindale, Texas; Paternal grandparents, David and Glenda Davis of Quitman; Materna grandmother, Margaret Higginbotham of Lindale, Texas; grandmother, Jean Johnston of Tyler, Texas; three step-brothers, Courtlon McCoy of Quitman, Texas Colton Warner of Quitman, Texas, and Keaton Warner of Quitman, Texas; two sisters, Shelby Davis of Lindale, Texas and Samantha Jock of Nacogdoches, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Gayla Fossum and husband Rich of Temple, Texas.


Arrangements are being handled by Beaty Funeral Home, P.O. Box 209, Mineola, Texas, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 1, 2008. Funeral service will be at Lake Country Bible Church at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2008 , Rev. Craig Lacy officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas.
