Avis Lorita Morris

Avis Lorita Morris, age 83, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Saturday, October 15, 1927 in Rusk, Texas to the late Robert Lee and Minerva Tate Moore.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold Morris; a daughter, Tonya Seawright; a brother, Vernis Moore; and a sister Amy Lorita Crocker.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Cathy Elizabeth Morris of Tallahassee, Florida; a brother, Melvin Moore of Lindale, Texas; a nephew, Johnny Crocker and wife Diann of Tyler, Texas; two grand daughters; and several great-grand children.

Graveside services for Ms. Morris will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Merle Parker officiating.
