Barbara Jean Cope Alexander, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on February 20, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. Barbara's life was defined by unwavering kindness, deep devotion to her family, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met.
A proud homemaker, Barbara devoted her life to creating a home filled with love, warmth, and laughter. She shared more than 46 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Randall, whom she married in 1979. Together, they built a life rooted in compassion, faith, and enduring love. Barbara found great joy in gardening, nurturing flowers and plants with patience and care. Her favorite color, purple, reflected both her vibrant spirit and her love for beauty in all its forms.
Barbara was a devoted member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church, where she found fellowship, purpose, and strength. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided her actions, relationships, and service to others.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her husband, Randall Alexander; her son, Waylon Alexander, and his wife, DeAnna, along with their children, Ava, Meagan, and Brendon; her daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Chris, along with their children, Brandon, Brice, and Bryant; and her brother, Randell Cope, and his wife, Glenda. Barbara was a proud and loving matriarch, also dearly loved by her many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mattie Cope, her brothers Eldon, Dale, and Durrell and her sister Rogina Williams.
