Barbara Ann Gibson

Mrs. Barbara Gibson, age 78 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Winnsboro. She was born on August 8, 1942 in Sulphur Springs to the late J.B. Cotten and Dorothy Grubbs Cotten. She was a retired food service worker with Winnsboro ISD and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Barbara loved God and rarely talked to anyone without inviting them to church. She wanted us all to make it to Heaven. Her favorite things were sewing, making quilts, reading and sharing the Bible, looking at pictures of the family, gardening with her husband, visiting and cooking for all the "kids" and singing gospel songs. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Debra Kay Comer and Joy B. Williams. She is survived by her husband N.E. Gibson; sons, Darrell Gibson of Texarkana and Daren Gibson and wife Teresa of Winnsboro; daughter, Kimberly Hill and husband Blake of Yantis; brother, Billy Cotten of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Boone Gibson and Jack Hill. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Harmony Cemetery at 2:00 pm, Bro. Jeremy During conducting.
