Barbara Gwynne Hooten

Mrs. Barbara Gwynne Hooten, age 82 of Mineola, passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. She was born on June 2, 1941 in Cooper, Texas to the late Clifford Harlon France, Sr. and Genevia Wright France.

Barbara was a retired Nurses Aide and longtime member of Holly Ghost Central Church in Alba.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Roland Hooten; son, James Hooten; daughter, Shelly Hooten and grandson, Caleb Stanley

Survivors include her sons, Jackey Hooten and wife Dana of Holly Lake Ranch and Bryson France of Mineola; daughters, Misty Mickelson and husband Edward of Mineola; brother, Clifford France and wife Sheryl of Hawkins; sisters, Jeanie Bulin and husband Gary of Garland and Diane McBride and husband, Craig of Waxahachie; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 29th at Beaty Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Davis conducting. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, with Shane Voyles, J.R. Mickelson, A.J. Farris, Justin Maynard, Jason Cox, and Jacob Cox serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryson France Aendru Cox.
