Barbara Louise Legate

Barbara Louise Legate, 74, of Mineola, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, in Mineola, Texas. She was born in New Britian, Connecticut on July 23, 1947, to the late Alfred Nordgren and Maureen Patterson Nordgren.
Barbara was a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary Club. She enjoyed playing forty-two and bowling with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Legate; son, Chris Starnes; brothers, Larry Nordgren, Tom Nordgren, Michael Nordgren; sister, Maureen Varrato.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Thompson and husband Jason of Hillsborough, New Jersey; son, Brian Starnes and wife Carrie of Winter Springs, Florida; sister, Claire Miller and husband Phil of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9 to 10 AM at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 South State Hwy 37 Mineola, Texas, a graveside will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers family has asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Hospital.
