Ben Robert Bowdoin

Ben Robert Bowdoin, Jr., age 79, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Wednesday, March 30, 1932 in Mineola to the late Ben Robert Bowdoin, Sr. and Evelyn Adrian Bowdoin. He was a dairy farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was the president of the Sweet Potato Festival and a board member for 29 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Bowdoin.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Bowdoin; a son, Johnny Willis Bowdoin of Gainsville, Florida; a brother, Henry Adrian of Illinois; three grandchildren, Amy Morrow and husband Ronnie of Golden, Texas, Seth Bowdoin of Golden and Alisha Bowdoin of Golden; and six great-grandchildren, Justin Morrow, Cassie Morrow, Kyle Morrow, Colten Bowdoin, Ashlyn Arnold and Madelyn Pendergrass.

Visitation for Mr. Bowdoin will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Graveside services will be held at Golden Cemetery on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mike Fletcher and Bro Lucky Shipp officiating.
