Ben Scirratt

Memorial services for Ben Scirratt, 77, Mineola, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at First Baptist Church of Mineola with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens prior to the memorial service under direction of Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.

Mr. Scirratt died Jan. 8, 2010, in Tyler. He was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Dallas. Ben served in the U.S. Navy and retied as a credit manager for Texaco. Ben and his wife Bobbie had lived in Mineola since 1987. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mineola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Elmer Scirratt and Eula Conner Scirratt, and by a sister, Billie Sue Nall.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Scirratt, Mineola; son and daughter-in-law, David Wayne and Deborah Scirratt, Wenatchee, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Sherrell Norris and Dale Hereld, Rockville, Md.; sisters, June Conkel and Glenda Benson, both of Rockwall; five grandchildren, Christy Carroll, Caren Bearden, Courtney Evans, Ashley Neher and Andrea Doornenbal; and four great-grandchildren, Hayley Atchley, Garrett Atchley, William Bearden and Teaghan Bearden.

Visitation will be 7 until 9 p.m. Monday at Beaty Funeral Home.
