It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Benjamin Larry Strange, who departed this life on August 30, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. Born on October 31, 1943, in Mars Hill, Arkansas, Benjamin was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Cynthia Clark, whom he married on July 7, 2008.

Benjamin proudly served in two branches of the U.S. Military. From 1960 to 1964, he served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal. After being honorably discharged, he joined the United States Army and attended O.C.S. (Officer Candidate School). He continued his service in Vietnam from 1965 to 1969 as a Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star for his exemplary service. Following his military career, he dedicated himself to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, contributing to the rehabilitation and reintegration of countless individuals within the Texas prison system.

A proud alumnus of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Benjamin graduated with a degree in accounting, which he utilized throughout his professional life. He was a faithful member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, where he served as Lead Ushur. Ben cherished the St. Dunstan's community and fostered connections with fellow parishioners.
