Bennie Ruth Peckham

Mrs. Bennie R. Peckham, age 80 of Winnsboro, passed away, Tuesday, June 24 in Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Franklin County on October 4, 1927 to the late Felix Monroe and Mary E. Davis Sparks. She worked as a aide at the Winnsboro Nursing Home for thirty years, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She married Charlie H. Peckham on May 11, 1943 in Franklin County. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bueford Peckham; daughter, Ruth Jane Peckham; sister, Maurice Boles; brothers, Bueford Sparks, and Troy Sparks. She is survived by her husband, Charlie H. Peckham of Winnsboro; sons, Charles Ray Peckham and fiance Linda of Wood County, Howard Wayne Peckham and wife Karen of Dallas, George Monroe Peckham and wife Jennifer of Franklin County; daughters, Bonnie K. Bearden and husband Bobby of Winnsboro, Brenda Joyce Rogers and husband Jim of Franklin County, Virginia Tabor and husband Raymond of Mt. Vernon; seventeen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
