Bessie Whitney Rackley

HOLLY LAKE RANCH - Services for Bessie Whitney Rackley, 93, Holly Lake Ranch, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Holly Brook Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Taylor officiating.

Burial is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola.

Mrs. Rackley died Oct. 4, 2008, in Tyler.

She was born April 24, 1915, in Chattanooga, Okla., to the late Hiram Finis and Estella Jane Johnson Anderson. She was a retired teacher, lived at Holly Lake Ranch for 10 years and was a member of Holly Brook Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd G. Whitney Sr. and Robert Rackley, and son, Floyd G. Whitney Jr.

Survivors include daughter, Letisha Moore, San Antonio; and six grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins.
