Bethany Jo Owen

Bethany Jo Owen, 75, died on Friday, October 08th, 2010 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, December 5th, 1934 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Herbert and Lois Fair. Bethany's life accomplishments include the many civic organizations she participated in including 12 years as a co-organizer of the Hawkins Oil Festival Parade, along with the revitalization of Gladewater as the Antique Capital of East Texas, Hawkins as the Pancake Capital of East Texas and Rusk as the Piney Woods Antique Capital.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Edward Owen; three daughters, Rebecca Jeffers, Gerri Thompson-Williams and husband Lloyd and Lisa Hunt; a brother, Herbert Fair, Jr. and wife Dolores; step-daughters, Janet Allred and husband Michael, Dawn Lambert and husband Jerry, Deborah Armstrong and husband William; step-sons, Dwayne Owen and wife Jackie, Darrel Bishop and wife Leslie; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
