Betty Jo Bedwell

Betty Jo Bedwell, age 80 of Gun Barrel City, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. She was born on March 6, 1943, in Mineola, Texas to the late Robert Franklin Russom and Clara Mae Graham Russom. Betty was a member of Northside Church, and she enjoyed teaching children’s church. She enjoyed reading a good book and spending time with her family.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bedwell, son; Timothy Bedwell, brother; Little Bob Russom, sister; Billie Jean Ashcraft.

She is survived by her, son; Tom Bedwell Jr. and wife Lucy of Temple, Texas, daughter; Tammie Jacob and husband William of Gun Barrell City, Texas, daughter in law, Doreen Bedwell; grandchildren, Robert Bedwell, Joseph Bedwell, Valarie Jackson, Stephen Bedwell, Andrew Bedwell, Philip Bedwell, Melissa Jacob, Emily McMillan, JT Jacob ang great grand sons Dylan Roberts and Dakota Roberts, many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy 37 Mineola, Texas 75773 from 10 AM. Graveside will follow at New Hope Cemetery at 11:00 AM. With Bro. Steve Prestridge, officiating.
