Betty Lou Dubbs

Betty Lou Dubbs was called home to begin her celebration with Christ, adding her voice to God’s chorus of angels on January 30, 2022. Betty was born on May 8, 1937, to the late Walter and Fay Edwards Pool in Mineola, Texas. She was the first of five children born into the family.
In 1970 she met and married the man who would become the love of her life Donald Keith Dubbs in San Antonio, Texas. She was a devoted and loving wife. In 1984 Betty and Keith moved to Mineola where she was raised and lived until her passing.
Betty had a strong belief and pride in family, God and country. Betty was proud to be a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mineola, and passionate about singing in the church choir. She was a voluntary member representing numerous organizations i.e., United Methodist Women, Wood County Republican Women, Wood County TEEA Club, holding various leadership positions.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brothers and her Husband of 40 years and missed him tremendously. She is survived by two sons, Jeff Dubbs and wife Wanda, Mineola, Texas: Robert Dubbs and wife Dorsey, Chula Vista, California: one daughter, Rhonda Brown and husband Curtis, Prince Albert, Canada: eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Ann Shirley, Mineola, Texas whose dedication, love and compassion for her sister, has been a great help to Betty’s family members in their time of need.
