Betty Louise Hayes

Mrs. Betty Louise Hayes, age 89, of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at a Tyler hospital. Betty was born in Palmyra, Missouri on March 28, 1927 to the late Louis and Harriett Malone Englehart. She was a Ceramicist, owning and operating Blue Quail Ceramics in California before retiring to Winnsboro. She married Dave Hayes on New Year’s Eve in 1948. Betty and Dave were members of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church of Winnsboro. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Deaun Surnock; and brother, Jack Englehart. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Dave Hayes of Winnsboro; daughter, Mary Zimmerman and husband Lon of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 636 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX 75494, Rev. George Dickens officiating.
