Betty Jeanne Hunt

Betty Jeanne Hunt, age 87, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Thurday, September 18, 1924 in Des Moine, Iowa to the late Clyde and Alma Soderland. She was an active member of Holly Tree Chapel. She volunteered at the Holly Tree Library from 1986 to 2006 and was a former member of the Holly Book Club and the Women's Service Guild. She loved books, Bridge and travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elise Dingman and Hazel Ahn.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Howard L. Hunt of Holly Lake Ranch; a son, Lee Hunt of Plano, Texas; a daughter, Karen Jean Hunt of Quitman, Texas; four grand children, Chris Hunt of McKinney, Texas, Brent Hunt of Brownsville, Texas, Leigh Janecka of Forney, Texas and Kayla Bryson of Forney; one great-grandchild, Landry Janecka of Forney; and one niece, Jan Melinquist.

Visitation for Mrs. Hunt will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins, Texas on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral serviced will be held at Holly Tree Chapel in Hawkins on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Revs. Charles Reece and Charles Long officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
