Betty Jean Mead

Mrs. Betty Jean Mead, age 72 of Quitman, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Tyler. She was born on November 10, 1949 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to the late J.C. Harris and Mary Sue Metcalf Harris.
Mrs. Mead was a retired registered nurse and member of Winterfield Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Dewayne Mead and brothers, Darrell and Jimmy Harris.
She is survived by her son, Randal Scott Mead of Quitman; daughter, Cynthia Delaine Jackson and her husband Ron Collins of Quitman; sisters, Patty Gunn and husband Leon of Pickton and Ginger McCreight of Yantis; four grandchildren, Nicole Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Colton Mead and Peyton Mead along with three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Winterfield Cemetery at 3:00 pm, Rev. David Burns conducting with Ray Grimes, Steve Stinson, Ron Collins, Ryan Jackson serving as pallbearers.
