Billy Ray Clemons, age 74, died Monday, August 22, 2011 in Quitman, Texas. He was born Wednesday, March 17, 1937 to the late Johnny and Emma Lucille Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Lola M. Clemons of Mineola, Texas; a son, Kelvin Clemons of Dallas, Texas; a daughter Alethea Clemons of Mineola, Texas; two brothers, Gary Thompson of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Winston Thompson of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Verrada Thompson of Mineola, Texas, and Wanda Burton of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Kendall Clemons, Tiffany Pitts, and Jaleesa Pitts; six great grandchildren, KaMarion Pitts, Braylen Allen, Janiya Allen, Jaden Allen, Tatianna Allen, and Braden Clemons. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel, Mineola, Texas.
