Billy Wayne Folmar, age 76, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Quitman, Texas. He was born on Wednesday, November 1, 1933 in Oak Grove, Texas to the late Jack and Wilma Folmar. He married his high school sweetheart, Marie Osbourn, on Saturday, April 3rd, 1954 when he was on leave from boot camp with the U. S. Coast Guard. After completing his tour of service in 1957, he attended Arlington State College and Southern Methodist University where he received a BBA degree in 1960 and an MBA in 1966. He then worked in Dallas for Magnolia Pipe Line Company and Mobil Pipe Line Company for 32 years with assignments in Alaska, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

After retiring as Controller-Treasurer from Mobil, they moved back to Quitman in 1993 and built a home on land once owned by his grandfather, Albert Morrow. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Quitman.

He is preceded in death by his mother and beloved stepfather, W. L. (Buck) Stone.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Clytie Marie Folmar, a son Kevin and wife Susie of Garland, Texas; son, Jeffrey of Austin, Texas; two grandsons, Thomas and Jordan, both currently deployed in Afghanistan; two brothers Charles Stone of Dallas, Texas, Gene Stone of Hawkins, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Liberty United Methodist Church in Quitman at a later date with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating.
