Billy Joe Garvin

Billy Joe Garvin, age 91 of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 19th, 2020. He was born on December 1st, 1929, to the late Judge Arexton Garvin and Lillian Beck Garvin. He was a Plumbing Superintendent for a major commercial builder. Mr. Garvin oversaw the building of hospitals, malls and other massive projects. Joe had a selfless heart and was there to help others. Mr. Garvin was active in the Royal Rangers Children's Ministry in the Coke community in the early 1990's. Joe loved to garden and tend to his peach orchard. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Madie Maxine Garvin in 1980 and son Billy Mack Garvin, Sr. in 2019. He is survived by Son: Mike Garvin and his wife Roxann; daughter Patsy Ann Meadows; brother Ben Garvin; 10 grandchildren Mackey Garvin, Tonya Facteau, Josh Garvin, Donny Joe Meadows, Shannon Bastow, Nehemia Meadows, Chance Garvin, Gabriel Douglas, Windy Grissom and Madieann Garvin; 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 26th, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
