Billy Rex (Bull) Winkle, age 78 of Winnsboro, passed away on Oct. 18, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on March 9, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to the late Grady G. Winkle and Lobelia Scroggins Winkle. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Prentiss and Preston Winkle; two sisters, Vera Faye Winkle and Velma Holt and one daughter, Ida Christine Bingham. Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dolores Winkle of Winnsboro; three sons, Rex and Cindy Winkle of Winnsboro, Danny and Ashley Gatlin of Conroe, Wayne and Heather Gatlin of Williamston, South Carolina; one daughter, Kimberly and Rene' Winkle Sanchez of Winnsboro. He has 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Holt, Chris Holt, Juan Munguia, Chris Nichols, Eric Winkle, and Emilio Garcia. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at Beaty Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas. Interment will follow at Clearwater Cemetery.
