It is with heavy hearts but also with immense gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Bobbie J. McCarley, who entered her heavenly home on August 7, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on June 5, 1933, in Texas, Bobbie lived a remarkable life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories.
Bobbie spent 20 fulfilling years of her career as a supervisor in the cashiers division at Central Freight before retiring and relocating to the picturesque community of Winnsboro, where she created a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends and was a long standing member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bobbie's love for her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Susie Zimmerman and husband Jeff, and her cherished grandchildren: Gretchen Holt and husband Chris, Casey Zimmerman and wife Kristi, Shawn McCarley, and wife Michelle. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her great-grandchildren: Ty and Madisen McCarley, Paige Baber and Lane Allen, Carley and Layne Singleton, Callie and Cody Barrett, Kennedy Baber, and Elise and Kyle Cooper-Zimmerman.
Bobbie had a zest for life; her infectious spirit drew people in. She adored traveling, particularly to the ocean, where she found peace and happiness strolling on the beach. Together with her late husband, BD, they were active members of the Recycled Teenagers Camping Club, forging lasting friendships and sharing many joyful moments. Bobbie's love for playing cards and entertaining was legendary, making her home a warm and inviting place, filled with laughter and camaraderie.
In honor of Bobbie's vibrant spirit and the love she shared, a graveside service will be held at Lee Cemetery, Monday, 10:00am August 10th.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center, where Bobbie's caring nature can continue to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
Bobbie J. McCarley's light will forever shine in our hearts, and her legacy of love will continue through all who were blessed to know her. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Bobbie was preceded in death by: her husband Bobby (BD) McCarley, her parents Michael and Jennie Rule, and her son, Thomas " Eddy" McCarley
