Bobbie Shamburger, 82, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in Lubbock, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro,Texas. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro. The family will receive Bobbie’s friends and family members Friday, August 2, from 6:00-7:30 at Beaty Funeral Home.
Bobbie was born September 7, 1930 in Vernon, Texas, to parents Rob and Opal Ross. The family then moved to Dumas when Bobbie was 5 years old. Bobbie graduated from Dumas High School in 1948 and then married Lee Oliver Shamburger on June 6, 1948. Bobbie was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Shamburger and grandson Ron Shamburger. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Dacell and wife Lynell of Longview, Ross and wife D’Ann of Lubbock, Carey and wife Paula of Deer Park and Kyle and wife Peggy of Deer Park. Bobbie is also survived by one brother, Charles Ross of Ft. Worth as well as six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Lubbock or First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, Texas. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful care Bobbie received from the doctors and nurses at Covenant Hospital S7, Palliative Medicine Unit and Hospice of Lubbock. Also thanks to Teresa Scoggins and the ladies that work at Promise Land Assisted Living for their love and care.
