Bobby “Bob” Glenn Folmar went to his Heavenly home Friday August 31, 2018 surrounded at his bedside by his family. Bob was born into the loving home of Junior and Virginia Fielden Folmar on Friday July 29, 1949 in Winnsboro, Tx. Bob attended the Winnsboro I.S.D. After graduation he entered the Marine Corps and fought in Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service Medal Vietnam, Service Medal Vietnam Campaign , Combat Action Ribbon, RVN Cross of Gallantry with Palm Leaf, and was a rifle sharpshooter. When he returned from Vietnam he became a welder by trade and worked for several companies and retired from Key Welding. Bob lived in the Winnsboro area all his life where he had many treasured relationships with friends and family. One of his greatest joys was watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered for his wit and his straight-shooting way of life. He was predeceased by his lovely wife Jean Giles Folmar. He is survived by his parents; three sons, Gaylon Folmar, Tracy Rimpel and his fiance Joy Wright, Stuart Folmar and wife Janessa; one stepdaughter LaTasha Acker and husband Brandon; one brother, Roger Folmar and wife Christine and one sister, Sandy Folmar Taylor; eleven grandchildren; and many caring friends. AS BOB WOULD TELL YOU "HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS"!!! Graveside Service will be held at Smyrna Cemetery on Sunday, September 9th at 2:00 PM. Under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
