Bobby Snyder

March 21, 1935 — December 8, 2011

Bobby Ray Snyder, age 76, was born in Mineola, Texas to Hubert and Fay Snyder. He married Emma Ruth Holland on April 10, 1957. He proudly served as Sergeant in the U.S. Army and later in the National Guard. Bobby retired as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Bobby loved the outdoors. He hunted deer, tormented squirrels and built masterful campfires. He considered himself a culinary artist of camp food. He was a gardener, a bird watcher, a shade tree mechanic, a consummate storyteller an artist and lover of ice cream.

Bobby was a romantic, leaving love notes and sketches for Ruth all over the house. They were frequently seen dancing cheek to cheek, in their kitchen, to songs by Elvis or the Platters. His love extended beyond her to his children grandchildren and most recently his great-grandchildren.
