Brenda Gail Billings

Brenda Gail Coats, of Winnsboro, Texas, entered into her Heavenly home on January 25, 2023. Brenda was born in Winnsboro on January 30, 1952 to the late Bert S. Coats, Jr. and Kathalyn (McCown) Coats. Ms. Coats was a 1970 graduate of Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Brenda loved to travel and her last vacation was on the beach at Gulf Shores Alabama. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time around the table to play cards and dominos. Ms. Coats was of the Baptist faith. Brenda was known to cheer on the Texas Longhorns very loud and proud. HOOK'EM HORNS. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sandra Huneycutt. Brenda is survived by her daughter Jennifer Vanderbilt and husband Brad, daughter Michelle Coats Whitney and husband Bryan; sister Janet Coats Turner; 13 grandchildren Devin, Nicholas, Tony, Faith, Hope, Alex, Kristin, Dane, Brendan, Toby, Eva, Emma, and Preston; 3 great-grandchildren Rylee, Colton, and Felicity; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; niece Lacey; nephews Jim, Jason, and Christopher; one great-nephew Elijah. A public visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31st at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Funeral service Wednesday, February 1st at 12 noon in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Bro. Nub Brown to officiate. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Wilkerson, Tony Wilkerson, Jason Huneycutt, Brendan Jackson, Preston Coats, Christopher Turner, and Jim Huneycutt.
